UPDATE: Are you ready for the 2011 South Beach Wine & Food Festival Burger Bash? We are. How about showing some love for the reigning judges’ favorite? You can start by sporting Michael’s Genuine Burger King Tee.
A big thank you to everyone who came out to support us at the Amstel Light Burger Bash last night! Michael took home the Allen Brothers’ Golden Grill Award. The award is given to Burger Bash participants using protein supplied by Allen Brothers (in this case chuck!) whose burger scores the highest marks for best burger in all of the following categories:
• Taste – flavor, fusion, cooking preparation
• Creativity – interest and appeal
• Presentation – attractiveness, composition, eye appeal
Judging was conducted by a panel of the industry’s top tastemakers including Dana Cowin, Ryan D’Agostino, Art Smith, Carla Hall, and Divya Gugnani.
Michael made out with an engraved, commemorative silver Cristofle tray, a $2,500 Allen Brothers Gift Certificate, a$1,000 check which he’ll donate to Overtown’s Roots in the City urban garden non-profit… and some love from Rachael Ray! Line and prep cooks Albert, Manny, and Pete did a great job turning out stacks of juicy patties, as did Hedy who was on crispy hominy duty!
