We love ‘em and then they leave, so while it’s hard to let go of what was a ridiculous night(s) of food and fun thanks to esteemed and highly skilled guest chefs Hugh Acheson and Ryan Smith (event photos will be up later so check back!), we must move on to our next and surely no less stunning pop-up at Harry’s. And October’s big folks. As of this morning we are proud to announce that tickets are now live for Locanda Verde Pizzeria with another dynamic duo, chef Andrew Carmellini and his chef della cucina of Locanda Verde in New York,chef della cucina Ron Rosselli!
American chef and restaurateur Andrew Carmellini lives and cooks in New York City, and visits Miami Beach often, especially with his new location of celebrated SOHO restaurant The Dutch right in our backyard! He loves to cook food from all over the world for a bunch of years it was French, then Italian. In his new book, American Flavor, he’s serving up a delicious taste of America, having a good time and making people happy. For his pop at Harry’s it’s all about Italia and bringing a storied classic, Locanda Verde, to the Souf, including the cookbook you’ll go home with: Urban Italian. We’re super excited he has chosen to bring his chef at LV in NYC to make it nice.
After esteemed visiting guests Gabrielle Hamilton, Jonathan Waxman, Marc Vetri, Jonathon Sawyer, Kevin Sbraga, Jon Shook and Vinny Ditolo, Paul Grieco, Chris Hastings, and Hugh Acheson, Michael welcomes chef Carmellini to take over Harry’s Pizzeria on Monday, October 22 at 7:00 p.m.
Seating is first come, first served. Making new friends is encouraged and easy when you’ve got a welcome cocktail in hand with hors d’oeuvre, four courses, free-flowing wines by The Genuine Hospitality Group sommelier and Wine Director Eric Larkee and our tap beers including Michael’s Genuine Home Brew at your disposal. Go home with a special gift too, a signed cookbook. All that and tax and gratuity are included in the ticket price of $150. The menu will be announced in a couple of weeks. Harry’s chef pop-up dinners occur about once a month, each time with a new chef in Harry’s kitchen doing a special menu from their cookbook, their restaurant, or sometimes something different. We close to regular business for these intimate evenings. They are relaxed and convivial, with a family-style meal unfolding at communal tables. Seating is first come first served. Menu is subject to change and doors open at 7:00 p.m. sharp.
