[SOLD OUT] Farm-to-Table Brunch Hosted by Chef Michael Schwartz (Saturday, February 25): An all new South Beach Wine & Food Festival event, Michael is bringing together acclaimed guest chefs Tim Cushman (o ya restaurant, Boston, MA,) Tony Maws (Craigie on Main, Cambridge, MA,) and Andrea Reusing (Lantern, Chapel Hill, NC) for a brunch built around local ingredients at Miami Beach Botanical Garden. Instead of the chefs determining what they want to make and us finding the product for them, the food and beverage will come together like it does each day at MGFD, starting with what’s fresh and available. We have supplied the chefs with a list of our favorite local suppliers and have asked them to decide who they want to work with for their dishes, which will each include a passed hors d’oeuvre and two stationed plates — one savory and one sweet — like our Sunday Brunch menu. 12:00 noon; see menu here.
[TICKET NOW ON-SALE!] Vetri Pizzeria (Wednesday, February 22): Vetri Pizzeria James Beard Award-winning chef Marc Vetri flies south to visit his Philly homey, chef Schwartz, and share recipes from Rustic Italian Food, his new cookbook. Word on the street is he’s planning to throw down with some of his own pizzas! Woot.

Join host, Julie Loria (author of the cookbook, Diamond Dishes, and wife of Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria) for an unforgettable evening with an exclusive sneak-peek of the brand new home of the Miami Marlins. Enjoy an evening under the stars with delicious Miami fare directly on the field. Participating chefs include Michelle Bernstein (Michy’s, Sra. Martinez, Crumb on Parchment, Miami, FL,) Scott Conant (Scarpetta, Miami, FL,) and Laurent Tourondel ( BLT Steak, Miami, FL.) 7:00 p.m.; Tickets are available online for $250
OMG! Dinner & a Movie with Harry’s Pizzeria (February 27): Our partnership with O, Cinema continues — and now Harry’s gets to play for a specially colorful two-tier performance – the film Crazy Horse about the famous Parisian cabaret club founded in 1951 and a live burlesque show! Plus genuine food from our new pizzeria? OMG! The dinner and a movie series with our Wynwood indy cinema neighbors that began last summer with MGFD is back featuring Harry’s favorites both new and old in the following menu: Fagioli and Homemade Focaccia (marinated cannellini beans,) Pasta fresca (pasta salad,) Polpettes in salsa (meatballs in sauce,) Polenta con formaggio (creamy polenta,) Pollo cacciatore (hunter’s chicken,) and Hot Buttered Popcorn Bread Pudding by Hedy Goldsmith. $30 to get the film and home-cooked meal, Schwartzbuffet-style. Or sweeten it for $50 if you don’t have Michael’s cookbook yet, and get a copy at a great price. Be there on Monday, February 27 at 7:00 p.m. or be square! Purchase tickets here.
