A Victory for Miami-Dade Farmers, Plus Genuine Burger Mania

DESTINATION, THE REDLAND: As reported on Bee Heaven’s Farm Blog, yesterday the Miami-Dade County Commission unanimously passed three ordinances updating acceptable uses for agriculture zoning.  This means that farms actively engaged in agriculture production within Miami-Dade County will — with the appropriate licenses — no longer be prohibited from partaking in cottage industries like Bed & Breakfasts, preserves-making, and agritourism activities on-site.  This is big news for our family farmers and the sustainability of their operations. Congratulations to them!
