Speaking of which… Michael has been invited by our partner in this project, Human Services Coalition, to participate in Imagine Miami’s fourth Changemaker Conference: Sustaining Livable Communities. The event will be held this Friday, May 7, from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Temple Israel (137 N.E. 19th Street, Miami, 33132.) Michael will present the program at the Healthy People, Healthy Community Workshop (11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) with CC Holloman, Chief Consultant of The Legacy Communities Initiative and Karen Weller, Director of the Office of Community Healthy and Planning at the Miami-Dade Health Department. Additional speakers include: Javier Soto, Dade Community Foundation; Mayor Cindy Lerner, Pinecrest; Mayor Carlos Bermudez, Doral; Linda Carmona Sanchez, Alliance for Early Care; Jim Murley, Florida Atlantic University; and Carolyn Dekle, South Florida Regional Planning Council; Denise Perry, Power U Center; David Henderson, Metropolitan Planning Organization.
