Tonight Michael Cooks “Out of the Kitchen” at Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman


We know you’re busy voting for Michael as Miami’s Best Chef on the Eater Awards 2010, but just a quick aside on a fun event that he’s doing tonight in the Caymans!

The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman has put together a benefit for the Cayman Culinary Society. Great chefs from the island’s favorite restaurants are all stepping out of their kitchens to each prepare a three-course meal and entertain a table of 12 with their wit and charm, and we presume cooking skills, too!  Proceeds from the event will go to the Cayman Culinary Society and The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman’s Culinary Arts Scholarship. Chef Eric Ripert from the Three Michelin star rated Le Bernardin will be the evening’s Keynote Speaker. Not sure if that means he’s doing any cooking, but I’ve dined at Blue and can personally attest to his influence braising, alive and well, in the kitchen.

Word on the waves is that a certain Food Network celebrity couple has requested Michael’s table.  The pressure is on, Chef!  From the looks of his menu below, he’ll be wowing them as usual tonight.
