Celebrating the launch in Miami with a Genuine Potluck, chef Michael Schwartz signs Slow Food Miami team leader and potluck participant Donna Reno's copy of MICHAEL'S GENUINE FOOD, his debut cookbook at Books & Books Coral Gables (Saturday, Februrary 19, 2011; photo credit Ella Schwartz)
Dearest Genuine Kitchen Readers:
Since the plan is to spend the entire day in my pajamas, what better reason to go through my photos from this past week’s launch of MICHAEL’S GENUINE FOOD in New York and Miami and share them with you.
Here are links to Flickr sets chronicling (most of!) each day Michael, Hedy, Eric, Bradley and I spent in the Big Apple, as well as last night’s Genuine Potluck at Books & Books in Coral Gables, FL. Whether home or away, it’s so much fun to play on the Schwartz team. There are so many people to thank who made each event, media appearance, and meal possible and memorable, which we are each doing bit by bit offline, but let’s just say we are all truly humbled and feeling quite overwhelmed right now — especially Michael.
I don’t have the clip of Michael’s segments on The Martha Stewart Show from Friday, but will put on the blog when I do. ‘Chef on a Shoestring’ on The Early Show (CBS) can be viewed here.
Next stop, South Beach Wine & Food Festival.
With love and thanks for supporting Michael (and the blog!),
Jackie
What a great evening on Saturday at Books and Books. My nice surprise was how humble Michael was the huge crowd. Great mix, great fun. It is what Miami is all about and we are lucky to have celebrity chef in our midst. Thank you for your good work.
