Things to Consume on Food Day

Today is Food Day, a national, grassroots campaign created by the Center for Science in the Public Interest.  Not unlike what Earth Day has done for the environment, Food Day aims to raise awareness of healthy, affordable food produced in a humane, sustainable, and just way.  We’re all for it and think every day should be Food Day : )  As consumers, let this serve as a reminder to all of us that where we put our money has a huge influence the shape of the food industry and local businesses that meet this objective need our support. And since the most important part of making positive change happen is staying informed on the issues, try to make tonight’s University of Miami’s Office of Civic and Community Engagement discussion panel, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in CAS Gallery at the Wesley Foundation, moderated by Mario Yanez, founder and director of Earth Learning, including Gabrielle Marewski, Owner and Farmer, Paradise Farms; Antonio Guadamuz, Urban Oasis Project and Verde Gardens Farmer; Brett Abess, UM Student and Entrepreneur; Gina Maranto, Journalist and Professor of Ecosystems Science and Policy at UM and a representative of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers. Stay informed, and eat up!

Raleigh Hotel Job Fair

We want your natural resources.

Please find below the ad we’re posting on Craig’s List this morning.  We’re very excited about this project and need the very best people to take it to the next level! Thanks for sharing it…
