[UPDATED] Harry’s Chef Pop No. 4: Greenhouse Pizzeria with Chef Jonathon Sawyer

It's not Summer of Riesling yet, but acid hounds can still rejoice!

Update: Greenhouse Pizzeria’s menu is set! Click here to view.

After Gabrielle Hamilton, Jonathan Waxman, and Marc Vetri, Michael welcomes one of Food & Wine magazine’s 2010 Best New Chefs, Jonathon Sawyer of Noodlecat, Brick & Mortar, and Greenhouse Tavern in Cleveland, Ohio to take over Harry’s for one night only.

Wednesday, April 4 is Greenhouse Pizzeria, when Sawyer joins us for a dinner celebrating his new housemade vinegars! The chef ferments over 300 gallons at a time in his home basement, using them in nearly every dish at the restaurant and now beginning to roll them out in retail.  He’s also got his own wines and new private label beer with Pennsylvania’s Victory Brewery.  Look for some of these goodies to show up on Greenhouse Pizzeria’s TBA menu.

We first met Jonathon in 2010 at the New York City Wine & Food Festival Burger Bash (he was our booth neighbor.) Since then, we’ve hung with him on the event circuit, and of course welcomed the adorable Sawyer family, party of 4, into MGFD numerous times as guests. He even has history with Miami, having begun his post-graduate culinary career at The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables!  We can’t wait to get cooking together.

Greenhouse Pizzeria just posted to Brown Paper Tickets this morning! Guests will enjoy a welcome cocktail, hors d’oeuvre, four courses, wine and beer, and go home with  a bottle of Tavern vinegar, with tax and gratuity all included in the ticket price of $129.  For more information on Harry’s chef pop-up dinners and the upcoming schedule, visit the “FUN” page on Harry’s website.
