Our monthly OMG! Dinner & a Movie series with O, Cinema continues on June 26 with LOST BOHEMIA, a documentary offering a glimpse inside the legendary Carnegie Hall apartments you may remember from last year’s hit, Bill Cunningham New York. To start off the evening, O, Cinema has offered to share our own documentary of sorts in its pre-show, a :30 spot we have Chat Chow’s Gio Gutierrez to thank for.
Gio and his camera were flies on the wall at our May chef pop-up at Harry’s with Top Chef Kevin Sbraga when we traded food for footage (and his brain, editing powers, patience, et al!) The result is above. Feast your eyes on this and the main feature in the theater this coming Tuesday, while you chow down on Harry’s Pizzeria chef de cuisine Manny Sulbaran’s family-style menu, a love letter for the Big Apple inspired by food popular during the inauguration of Carnegie Hall. Start with Smoked Fish Dip & Chips and Iceberg Lettuce with pickled red onion, watermelon & blue ranch dressing. A tough act to follow, Pot Roast & Gravy comes next, with a side of Goat Cheese & Scallion Mashed Potatoes. The sweet ending from executive pastry chef Hedy Goldsmith is Angel Food Cake with mango jam (in layers!!!) Get your tickets here, and for the upcoming chef pop-up schedule, visit Harry’s fun page.
