We are so excited for Locanda Verde Pizzeria on October 22, which is a few tickets away from being sold out… With our November pop-up occurring shortly thereafter, we are releasing tickets today.
It seems like just yesterday we welcomed our first chef, Gabrielle Hamilton, to Harry’s in November of 2011. We are celebrating one year of deliciously inspirational monthly visitors with a very sweet guest! After esteemed visiting guests Gabrielle Hamilton, Jonathan Waxman, Marc Vetri, Jonathon Sawyer, Kevin Sbraga, Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo, Paul Grieco, Chris Hastings, Hugh Acheson, and Andrew Carmellini, Michael welcomes 2012 James Beard Outstanding Pastry Chef Mindy Segal to take over Harry’s Pizzeria on Monday, November 5 at 7:00 p.m.
Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood favorite, Mindy’s Hot Chocolate specializes in contemporary American cuisine inspired by seasonal and local ingredients. Believing that quality and technique is fundamental to the development of a great dessert, Mindy exhibits tremendous respect for her ingredients, organizing her plates according to the combination of texture, temperature and taste, rather than appearance alone. With her new cookbook, BAKING OUT LOUD: Fun Desserts with Big Flavor, currently hitting bookstores, our executive pastry chef Hedy Goldsmith is especially excited about this pop-up and will be working with Mindy closely on every aspect!
Seating is first come, first served for this sweet and savory family-style meal! Making new friends is encouraged and easy when you’ve got a welcome cocktail in hand with hors d’oeuvre, four courses, free-flowing wines by The Genuine Hospitality Group sommelier and Wine Director Eric Larkee and our tap beers including Michael’s Genuine Home Brew at your disposal. Go home with a special gift too. All that and tax and gratuity are included in the ticket price of $150.
To recap the drill… Harry’s chef pop-up dinners occur about once a month, each time with a new chef in Harry’s kitchen doing a special menu from their cookbook, their restaurant, or sometimes something different. We close to regular business for these intimate evenings. They are relaxed and convivial, with a family-style meal unfolding at communal tables. Seating is first come first served. Menu is subject to change and doors open at 7:00 p.m. sharp. Tickets are exclusively sold online for the pop-up series through http://www.harryspizzeria.com/fun with links to unique Brownpapertickets.com sales pages, and past event photos on our Flickr.
Cheers and happy Columbus Day! Thanks for your continued support.
