MIAMI DESIGN DISTRICT TORO PIZZERIA: Harry’s Welcomes chefs Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette | Tuesday, January 21 at 7 p.m. James Beard Award-winning chef and restaurateur Ken Oringer’s six restaurants throughout Boston are among the city’s most popular and critically acclaimed. After opening Coppa, a cutting edge Italian enoteca, with Food & Wine’s 2011 Best New Chef and 2013 James Beard Award-nominatee Jamie Bissonnette, the two embarked on a new adventure en Espanol called Toro. This Barcelona-style tapas restaurant located in Boston’s South End and now with a new location on Manhattan’s west side serves traditional and modern Spanish-style small plates made with locally sourced and sustainable ingredients. We can’t wait to host these two in Miami to celebrate Catalan cuisine in all its forms for the first time at Harry’s. Seating is first come, first served for this sweet and savory family-style meal! MIAMI DESIGN DISTRICT EATING ITALY IN MIAMI: Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink welcomes James Beard Award-winning chef Jeff Michaud | Tuesday, February 18 at 7 p.m. A simple labor of love. This is la dolce vita of James Beard Award-winning chef Jeffrey Michaud, shared in traditional Italian delights made his own in his new cookbook — Eating Italy: A Chef’s Culinary Adventure (Running Press.) We welcomed him to Harry’s Pizzeria as part of its pop-up series in 2013 before its release, and now we are over-the-moon to have Jeff back in Miami in 2014 and into our flagship kitchen for the first time. He’ll be cooking some new dishes from its pages and now a signed copy is included to take home to your own kitchen. MIAMI DESIGN DISTRICT LINCOLN PIZZERIA: Harry’s Welcomes chef Jenn Louis | Wednesday, February 19 at 7 p.m. 2012 Best New Chef Winner Jenn Louis has a philosophy on food: “Keep it consistent, simple, and purposeful.” It’s an approach that has driven her culinary career to date, hand in hand with a healthy dose of moxie, and a deep sense of social responsibility. After graduating from Pitzer College in Los Angeles, Louis spent time traveling in Europe, North and South America, and South Africa. A thirst for adventure later drove her from the West Coast of the United States to the deep woods of North Carolina, then on to the Florida Keys and the Everglades. Heard THAT, Jenn!
