Throwing Back to Our Top Instagrams of the Year

Drumroll please…

After scouring through all of our postings since last January from @MGFD_MIA, @TheCypressRoom, and @HarrysPizzeria, we have selected three pictures (one from each restaurant) that soared to heights that their fellow postings could only dream of reaching.  Each one of these pictures broke the 100 “like” mark, a feat that’s pretty difficult to achieve unless you happen to have an Instagram account solely dedicated to puppies and kittens – or you are a superstar.  Luckily for us everyone in Genuine Land is a superstar – including all of our amazing customers — without you guys none of these awesome photos would be possible. Now without further ado, here are the winners!

From Harry’s we have a Miami staple – tostones w herb garlic butter

At Michael’s it was a lamb and chorizo burger w/ caramelized onions, fontina, and arugula on brioche

And at The Cypress Room a gorgeous cheese plate reigned supreme – Valdeón (Spain) Cow & Goat, assertive with creamy caramel notes, one of our favorite blues. 11 o’clock: Brillat-Savarin (France) Cow’s milk, mushroomy, Triple Cream, silky texture, clean on the palate. 1 o’clock: 24-mo. Parmigiano Reggiano (Italy) raw Cow’s milk, firm texture, sweet & nutty. Served with fruit compote, candied walnuts, artisanal honey, and pickled cherries

Now, on a personal note, this post is one of my final assignments for The Genuine Hospitality Group.  I am leaving lovely Genuineland and moving on to a new job at Endlessly Organic, an organic produce buying club serving the south Florida area.  Interning here for the past 6 months has been an amazing experience.  I would love to run through and thank everyone; however, that would take multiple postings and this is the only one I’ve got!  So to every member of the Genuine team, thank you for being so kind and welcoming to me during my time here and I wish each and everyone one of you the best for the upcoming new year and for each and every one after that.

I do want to give a special shout out to the two raddest boss ladies around though, Jackie and Ellie.  The two of them took me from an Instagram virgin to a full-fledged maestro when it comes to the art of capturing the perfect soup and/or sandwich moment.  More importantly though, they provided me with a wealth of knowledge about branding and marketing that I will carry with me throughout the entirety of my working life.  It is readily apparent to me, that they are the best in the Miami dining scene game and on top of that they create a work environment full of laughs, smiles, and quirky catch phrases, something every workplace should strive for.  Thanks for making this a most memorable experience and keep on keeping on ladies.

Adios Genuineland!!!
