Hashtag, Our Instagram Feeds Are It!

#MGFDSandwich

#MGFDsandwich shows what’s on our chefs’ minds at lunchtime.

It’s not always easy to get comfortable with new technology nor to stay on top of innovation.  We’ve been at this social media game for a little while, and I think if we have learned anything, it’s two things: one size does not fit all and listening to your audience is even more important than broadcasting to it.

Today is Throwback Thursday as pop web culture will have it, so we are taking a moment to consider the hashtag.  We have been working hard to make sure that what we post is not only beautiful to look at but easy to access given the range of feeds under the Michael Schwartz umbrella.  With a few simple tags, our restaurants come alive so that the big picture is at your fingertips.

In preparation for our first second store, harryspizzeria.com features hashtags for navigation between locations and their respective feeds.

When Harry’s Pizzeria opens its first new location in Coconut Grove, hashtags will serve an important navigational function, helping you sort between daily specials and other happenings at each location simply by clicking #HPCoconutGrove or #HPDesignDistrict.  Take them both for a spin.  #HPCoconutGrove may not look like much now, but it will populate rather quickly soon.

So, are we slow to the party?  Maybe.  We’ve been using the hashtag for a while now but have found this new filing system to be particularly useful.  Each restaurant is settling into its own frequently used tags which can be found on the respective profile pages. Click around and explore what’s trending on your smartphone and then post it on your own plate.

  1. You’re doing a great overall job with your images! It looks like you’re working under a very large umbrella, and your hashtags are a great guide.
